After the interim assessment of the National Leading Group for Philosophy and Social Sciences, the national research project Sorting and Researches of East Asian Bitan Manuscripts under the leadership of Professor Wang Yong of IEAS was awarded additional  floating funds of RMB 700000 yuan. This bitan research project was one of the most  important projects under the sponsorship of National Social Sciences Foundation in 2014. The additional funding will further actuate bitan studies so that more scholars will be able to understand the history and manuscripts of bitan.
