In May 2017, Hangzhou Workshop of Global Creative Cultural Industries Program of Hong Kong University was set up in IEAS. Since then, these two institutions had many student exchange programs. In July 2017, IEAS students Fan Xiaoyang and Xu Yanbin conducted research in Hong Kong University for two weeks. In September 2017, Professor CHEN Xiaofa delivered a guest lecture on Buddhism and Creative Industry at Hong Kong University. From 3 to 30 December 2017, Professor Dixon Wong Heung Wah, Director of Gloabl Creative Cultural Industries Program of Hong Kong University, visited IEAS for further discussion on academic co-operation and new agreement on student exchange. He also delivered lectures on East Asian Studies in Hong Kong, and East Asian Studies in Japan.
On 25 December 2017, a group of seven Hong Kong University students came to IEAS and used Hangzhou Workshop of Global Creative Cultural Industries Program of Hong Kong University in IEAS as a base for research. With the co-ordination of School of Oriental Languages and Culture of Zhejiang Gongshang University, they visited Yuhang Wenchang School and corporations of creative cultural industry in Hangzhou. Miss Zhang Zhixuan is mainland Chinese currently studying in Hong Kong University. She shared her study experience with the students of Yuhang Wenchang School. Another Hong Kong University Mr Liang Barium showed strong interest in returning to Hangzhou for creative cultural job.
To students of IEAS and Hong Kong University, exchange program is an experience never to be forgotten. It can shape part of their characters and change their view of life. To them, everything is fabulous!
