Professor
Zheng Xinpeng of IEAS participated in the first Conference on the Research of
Modern Chinese Characters, which was hosted by the Chinese Characters Research
Center (汉字研究中心)of Hebei University from 18 to 20 August 2016 at Hebei University.
Professor Zheng presented his paper and research findings on the origins and
evolution of five demotic vulgar words used in Shanxi.
