In the sunny morning of 22 April 2016, Professor Chu Hansen(崔汉善) and Professor Cho Jaeho (曹载虎)of Chonnam National University in Jeonnam (Chonnam) , Korea visited IEAS. IEAS professors had scholar exploration with them on Korean pottery art and the historic research on Korean “drifters” as survivors of sea disasters in East Asia in the fifteenth century. China,Korea and Japan are geographically very close, yet feel distant from each other occasionally in East Asian history. In order to create a positive learning experience for students of Chonnam National University and IEAS, the Director and Vice-Director of IEAS, Professor Cho and Professor Chu also discussed formal and informal academic co-operation between Chonnam National University and IEAS.
